Silence is vital for connecting with the sky. Step away from the crowds and noise, and join me in a peaceful contemplation of the Northern Lights.

Hello, I am Cristiano, and I am obsessed with the Aurora Borealis. If you are looking to see and photograph the Northern Lights in Yellowknife, you have come to the right place.

I have been chasing and photographing auroras for years, but I do not enjoy doing it with large groups. Big groups mean noise, bright flashlights, and other distractions that break the connection with the starry sky and the dancing lights. While I could earn more by running tours for larger groups, I choose to stay true to my convictions. My tours are different: we will never be more than six people (including myself). Often, it will just be the two of us.

Here is how it works: I will pick you up from your accommodation (hotel, Airbnb) anywhere in Yellowknife and take you far from the city lights. I might drive 30, 40, 50, 60 kilometers or more to escape light pollution and find secluded spots away from tourist crowds.

Prepare yourself to experience what it means to be a true Aurora Chaser.

If you are into photography, we will have a great time discussing gear and techniques. If you have a camera but are not sure how to capture the auroras, I will be there to guide you. If you do not have a camera, no worries: I will photograph you with the Northern Lights, and the next day, you will receive high-resolution digital photos of our night together.

The start time of the tour is flexible. We might plan for 9:30 PM, but we will be in contact during the afternoon to finalize the details. I always monitor space weather and am well-trained in interpreting satellite data to assess geomagnetic conditions, ensuring we maximize our chances. This means you might get a message from me saying, "Let's go immediately".

My tours typically last around 4 or 5 hours, but they can go longer if the auroras are particularly active and we are enjoying ourselves. Time is never an issue for me; I am flexible and adaptable to the circumstances. I know the thrill and anticipation, having traveled extensively to see the auroras myself. We will not head back to the city until you are completely satisfied. With the skies' dynamic and unpredictable nature, my mission is to ensure you depart with happiness and lasting memories.

Dancing Skies is a small tour company. I worked for other tour companies before, but this is my first season on my own (24/25). I am the only guide. I am fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. If you have any questions or want to know more, do not hesitate to send me an email or a message through my social media channels. I promise to respond as soon as I can.
